Vioxx and Stomach &
Gastrointestinal Problems

Serious problems from stomach ulcers, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, are well-known complications in people treated with Vioxx. The likelihood of stomach problems increases the longer you take Vioxx, but even short-term treatment carries some risk. Stomach complications can occur without warning, or may be preceded by obvious warning signs. Vioxx is more likely to cause serious gastrointestinal side effects if you've had a problem with ulcers or stomach bleeding in the past.

Signs of stomach or GI problems:

  • Burning stomach pain

  • Black or tarry stools

  • Vomiting

If you experience any of these warning signs after taking Vioxx, call your health care provider right away.

If you or someone you know suffered stomach or gastrointestinal problems after taking Vioxx, call or e-mail the Dallas and Houston Vioxx side effects lawyers at 1-800-683-8383 and find out your legal rights.
